Model Boats on the Water

Model Boat Show April 2019

Join us in Woods Hole this spring (the weekend of April 13 & 14, 2019) for the tenth annual Model Boat Show where miniature boat enthusiasts gather to display, peruse and race their tiny (and not so tiny) model vessels in Woods Hole.

Watching Model Boats

Created and run by the Woods Hole Historical Museum, this event draws hundreds to the village to enjoy a (hopefully warmish) spring day plus the excitement of these beautiful historic model boats, some with famous stories and provenance.

Model Boats

Treehouse Lodge will be open for the season, and thrilled to welcome the model boat crowd to Woods Hole for a weekend of learning, connections, racing and fun. Call the front desk to explore our special offer low rates for this event at 508-548-1986. We are happy to support this sort of gathering in our lovely village.

Blue Grass

While you are in Woods Hole, consider a walk up the bike path to explore Spohr Gardens. The daffodils will be close to popping, and the views over Oyster Pond are incredible in this quiet dedicated garden off Fells Road.

Tavern

Don’t leave without trying the house made Quahog Chowder at Quicks Hole Tavern, open year-round overlooking the waterfront in Woods Hole. The Tavern is offering a special free cup of chowder with purchase of an entree for Model Boat Show attendees, so head over to 29 Railroad Ave (right in the village) and check it out. UPDATE: Jan. 2023 Quicks Hole Tavern is currently closed!
